8. To ensure that the new piece of parquet adheres securely, cover it with waste wood and weigh it for the whole glue or epoxy curing period, according to the manufacturer’s instructions. 
9. Allow the glue or epoxy to cure thoroughly before removing the weight. If the finish on the new piece of wood does not match the rest of the floor, polish or wax the whole surface.
